Autumn Penumbral Lunar Eclipse

Nov. 29. Astronomy fans, you’re in for a spectacular treat! Check out the moon this Sunday for a special penumbral lunar eclipse. A penumbral lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes through the Earth’s partial shadow, or penumbra. During this type of eclipse the Moon will darken slightly but not completely. The moon will be at the peak of the eclipse at 1:42 a.m. but will be visible from 11:30 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Magnolia Brewery 23rd Anniversary

Open. Celebrating 23 years in business this month, iconic San Francisco beer brand Magnolia Brewing Co. debuts a refreshed interior at its original Haight Street brewery, a renewed selection of the only cask-conditioned beers in the city and new packaging for its core beer line. For its anniversary it’s brought back a popular old favorite, Proving Ground, which is available for a limited time only at the Haight St. brewery.
