San Francisco City Impact’s Pre-Thanksgiving Outreach

Nov. 14. Give back before the Thanksgiving holiday with the Farrington pre-Thanksgiving event, held in memory of one of the organization’s beloved volunteers, Mary Elizabeth Farrington. Volunteers will be handing out food to the homeless, delivering meals to apartment buildings and wrapping presents for the children of the Tenderloin to open at Christmas. Stand-Up Comedy and Virtual Cocktail Party with Brad Williams

Nov. 14. Laugh out loud with a delectable cocktail in hand during this livestream event featuring comedian Brad Williams. A California native, Williams started doing stand-up comedy as a teenager and has been touring successfully ever since, routinely selling out shows all over the country and the world. 7 p.m. $15. Vietnamese Coffee Lab with Chef Tu David Phu and Mr. Espresso

Nov. 14. Coffee aficionados, rejoice! In this class, chef Tu David Phu will dive into a short history of coffee in Vietnam, discuss Vietnamese coffee culture and collab with Luigi Di Ruocco of Mr. Espresso in Oakland to make their favorite versions of Vietnamese coffee. These favorites include traditional Ca Phe Sua, cold brew and egg coffee. 1 p.m. $20—half of all class sales are to be donated to the Oakland Asian Cultural Center. Tickets

Nov. 14-15. Feast this weekend and celebrate the festival of lights with these deliciously festive meals! Available for dinner, this weekend only, guests can expect a four-course pre-fixe menu option at ROOH SF ($70) and special kebab platters at ROOH Palo Alto ($45-$50) in celebration of one of India’s most popular festivals, also known as the festival of lights. The Walt Disney Family Museum’s Veterans’ Voices: Painted Realities

Opens Nov. 12. In honor of Veterans Day, The Walt Disney Family Museum will debut its fifth Community Access Exhibition, Veterans’ Voices: Painted Realities, featuring original artworks by U.S. military veterans. San Francisco Veterans Film Festival

Through Nov. 14. Celebrate Veteran’s Day by watching a film at the San Francisco Veterans Film Festival virtual event. The festival features films such as Ocean Station November (pictured), Call Sign Chaos, Coming Home and many more. The event is a robust forum spotlighting active duty, veterans and civilian filmmakers to share their stories, addressing issues about veterans and military-related topics. All films will be shown the entire week, each day will have the same films, you can pick multiple screening days. Join for the Director’s Panel on November 12, from 6-7:30 p.m. Tickets
