Still haven’t seen Hamilton? Or perhaps you’ve watched it a dozen times, can sing along to every single song and need to watch it again?

Well, you’re in luck either way. Broadway San Jose has announced its upcoming season, and the Tony-Award-winning musical will kick things off with a run from Oct. 12 to 31.

The Broadway and international smash is the “story of America then, told by America now.” The winner of Tony, Grammy, Olivier awards and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama tells the story of founding father Alexander Hamilton through a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway. The book, music and lyrics are by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire.

The season’s other must-see shows include Hairspray (Nov. 23-28), Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Jan. 18-23, 2022), Tootsie (April 19-24, 2022), Dear Evan Hansen (June 8-19, 2022) and 1776 (May 16-21, 2023).

“We are so excited to welcome audiences back to San Jose’s Center for the Performing Arts for a season full of Broadway hits, including several San Francisco Bay Area exclusives and can’t-miss returning favorites,” Broadway San Jose General Manager Gretchen Feyer said. “We are working diligently behind-the-scenes to create and expand new safety protocols and on-site operations to ensure a positive experience for our patrons, staff, and cast and crew members.”

Season subscriptions start at $280 for the basic six-show package, which go on sale starting Monday, May 3. Season-ticket holders enjoy the benefits of significant discounts compared to single-ticket prices. Other benefits include preferred seating, ticket exchanges and special offers.
