“Virtual Ocean Buoy Exploration” Livestream

Get close and personal with the buoys of the bay! The Exploratorium will present a live-streamed exploration, maintenance and cleaning of the one-ton, 20-foot-tall carbon dioxide buoy anchored between Piers 15 and 17. Watch as the buoy is lifted out of the water with a crane, its scientific instruments are checked and the biological community of native and invasive species that have made the buoy their temporary home are catalogued.
